Peter is the founder of Private Capital Advisers (PCA). He is a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Accountant Financial Planning Specialist, SMSF Specialist Adviser, and an Accredited Finance Broker with over 20 years experience in the Financial Sector.
Before founding PCA, he had several roles at a range of financial institutions, which included working as Private Client Adviser and a key member of the Investment Management Group at Shadforth. He was also the Treasurer of MSWA for seven years.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management and Masters of Accounting.
Peter is the Principal Adviser at PCA and is involved in all aspects of the business.
Odette is a Practice Manager. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and a Diploma of Financial Planning.
Before joining PCA, Odette was a Practice Manager at another Financial Institution.
At PCA, Odette is responsible for driving clear, consistent business processes that support the growth and development of the business, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
Ellie is an Associate Adviser. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Financial Planning from Curtin University.
Before PCA, Ellie worked in a variety of client-facing and technical roles including Client Services Co-ordinator, Paraplanner and general adviser positions.
At PCA, Ellie is involved in developing financial planning strategies and solutions for individuals, families, and organisations as well as overseeing the implementation process.
Anna is a Chartered Accountant. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance.
Before PCA, Anna worked as a Chartered Accountant in both public and private practices. Prior roles include, Senior Accountant at KMPG where she was heavily involved in Financial Risk Management and Team Leader of the Group Accounting team at Wesfarmers Limited.
At PCA, Anna provides corporate advisory services.
Nic is a Technical Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics from The University of Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning.
Before PCA, Nic was a graduate and had an extensive Floorball career. He joined the PCA team in 2017.
At PCA, Nic acts as a source of technical support for the research and modelling of client strategies. Together with this he manages the financial planning requirements of clients to create advice documentation.
Bernice is a Client Services Manager. She holds a Bachelors of Commerce from The University of Western Australia, an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
Before PCA, Bernice had various roles in a range of financial institutions including Client Service Manager, Operations Manager and Associate Broker.
At PCA, Bernice manages and facilitates the implementation of advice and administration.
Hayley is a Client Services Manager. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and a Diploma of Financial Planning.
Before PCA, Hayley was a Client Services Officer and Practice Manger Assistant at another financial institution.
At PCA Hayley assists with the implementation of the advice process and provides administrative support to the team.
Alex is a Marketing and Client Communication Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a Double Major in PR and Marketing from Curtin University.
Prior to PCA, Alex was Head of Consumer Insights for Bankwest and also held prior roles with Hartleys and Morgan Stanley.
At PCA, Alex oversees all marketing and client communications.
Katharine is an Administrator. She holds a Bachelor of Economics (Social Sciences) from the University of Sydney and a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management.
Before PCA, Katharine was an Associate Director for a recruitment firm and has worked across Australia and internationally. She currently sits on the Board of Kidsafe WA.
At PCA, Katharine supports office administration.
Board of Advice
The purpose of the Board of Advice is to serve the development of Private Capital Advisers and key staff through the ongoing guidance and mentorship of its members.
Tony is the former Head of Corporate Finance at an Australian stockbroking company, as well as the co-founder and Chairman of ASX listed Amcom Telecommunications Ltd. He led the merger with Vocus Communications and then served as the Deputy Chairman. In 1990 he founded what is now known as Albion Capital Partners, a Venture Capital group.
Tony is an Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a director of the PLC Foundation and a director of The Minderoo Foundation. He has also held directorships in Canada, United Kingdom and Australia in the healthcare, mining and energy industries.
Tom has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Finance, specialising in advisory services to the financial, resource and service industries. Tom is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and is the former Head of Corporate Finance at Deloitte in Perth.
Tom left the Deloitte partnership in 2006 to pursue a number of private interests before establishing Forrest Capital—a company providing corporate advisory, equity placement and underwriting services to small and medium-sized Australian companies—with Kim Hogan.
Kim has over 30 years of experience in the Financial Sector. Kim was formerly a Director of Porter Western Limited, a WA based stockbroking firm which was later taken over by Macquarie Bank in 1999. Kim worked as an Associate Director of Macquarie until leaving to form Forrest Capital with Tom Henderson.
Simon founded the financial planning firm Keysbrook Financial Services which later merged into Shadforth Financial Group, of which Simon was the State Manager.
Simon now runs Aberfoyle Partners, a business specialising in consulting to financial planning firms. Simon also sits on the boards of ASX listed Westoz Investment Company (WIC) and Ozgrowth Ltd (OZG).
